Joel Blankenship has a passion for the Probate Court of Jefferson County because it has afforded him the path that he has taken to today. Blankenship was adopted at birth in this court and has spent his entire life as a resident of Jefferson County growing up in Trussville and graduating from Samford University and Cumberland School of Law. Blankenship will strive to afford all others the same opportunities that were given to him.

Joel Blankenship is one of the most experienced election attorneys in the State of Alabama who has worked with numerous elected and appointed officials throughout Alabama to ensure that our Constitutional right to free and fair elections is always protected. As Probate Judge, Blankenship will use his election expertise as a leader in the State, working with State Legislators to make sure the citizens of Jefferson County are secure in their trust in independent elections.

The Probate Court is a Court for the people of Jefferson County. It is where our citizens go to Record the Deed to their House, transition the Estate of a recently departed loved one, or register their Marriage. It is a court to serve the people and Blankenship will ensure that it does so in the most efficient and professional way possible, to make the court user friendly for all people of Jefferson County.
